I offer a one-off session to
discuss any concerns you may have when planning a baby.
Antenatal Consultation
– From £50
I am very happy to offer a one-off
consultation during which we can explore your options either within
the NHS or through Independent care. (If you go on to book me as your
midwife the fee paid will be deducted from the final bill.)
Birth Preparation
I am happy to offer either
group or individual birth preparation sessions which can be tailored
to your needs.
Postnatal Support
I can provide one-off or continuing
postnatal support, for example to support breastfeeding or any other
issues you may have.
Birth Debrief
I am happy to meet with you
to discuss any birth experience (no matter how long ago) if you wish
to go over what happened and why; perhaps before planning a future
pregnancy.
Full Independent Midwifery
Care - £3,500
The price reflects the professional care that you receive and remains
the same regardless of when in your pregnancy you book me.
A £500 deposit is payable
upon booking, and the balance is payable by the 36th week of your
pregnancy.
Flexibility is offered; for example monthly
payments can be discussed.
I predominantly attend women choosing to
give birth at home, however if you choose to give birth in hospital,
I can be with you in early labour (perhaps keeping you at home longer)
and then we can go together to your hospital of choice or I will remain
with you as a supporter or advocate until your baby is born and you
are settled - or indeed I can accompany you back home.
Antenatal care will be undertaken at a frequency,
time and place to suit your needs and can arrange for any blood tests,
scans and referrals you choose. I am happy to liaise with any complementary
therapists you may wish to use.
I believe preparation for childbirth to be
vitally important, and together (including any birth supporters you
may wish to be present) we will prepare for the birth of your baby.
With good preparation, you will know when it is time to have me attend
you, however from 37 weeks I will be on call 24 hours a day.
Usually I will remain with you for 2 or 3
hours after the birth of your baby and will continue to provide postnatal
care and support on an individual basis for up to 28 days.
I have a comprehensive selection of books,
videos and equipment that I am willing to lend.
